All Talk And No Action

Good morning :-)

My word, it is turning chilly quickly now and the wind is fresh to say the least!

I have started to wear my hat and gloves when we go for a walk.

Walking is such a lovely pastime activity to do…

For you notice so much more around you.

Each tree up the driveway is changing at a different rate and the amount of fungus/mushrooms you can spot in the undergrowth is amazing!

We also have a resident heron in the pond with the bullrushes which is just so beautiful to watch too.

Talking of walking, or walking and talking… :-)

Like a lot of things in life, we all seem to talk a lot but don’t really do a lot!!!

So often we think, or indeed are told, that only ‘someone else’ can do this or that for us.

But why is that?

Are we really so helpless or dim?

Because when it really comes down to it we can only ‘do for ourselves’…

Because in truth, no one can actually ‘do anything’ for us at all…

Yes, they all like to think they can, but in reality…

You do it all yourself.

For you really do create your own reality :-)

And nowhere is this more important for you to understand than in your own health and wellbeing

Because, you create your illness AND your wellness.

How many times have you heard a true healer say this “I am only the catalyst in your own healing”

Now, why do you think they would say this? It’s because the client heals themselves with their support.

And you cannot do it for them!!!

No matter how hard you try :-)

You see, you create it all and you always have done – you create your wealth AND your poverty too.

If you ‘think’ and ‘feel’ poor and then happen to receive a large amount of money, you will more than likely lose it all.

It will go as quickly as it came.

Or you would feel impelled to “give it all to the poor”.

Which amounts to the same thing… so you must really enjoy being poor too :-)

Try looking at wealth as being the ‘energy’ which allows you to support yourself and others while they get wealthy also.

For you see, just giving a poor person money doesn’t help them to change their attitudes and beliefs.

Giving them a ‘taste of wealth creation’ will do so much more :-)

And by that I mean – sharing your ‘feelings of abundance and prosperity’ with them.

Not giving them all you have!

(No need to share your comments here, this is my opinion only!)

You see, the saying …

“You can give a man a fish and feed him for a day or you can teach a man to fish and feed him for life”…

Is one of the kindest things you can do for another – for it pushes them to do for themselves.

Be that a child who is afraid to remove his stabilizer wheels on his bike or the teenager who can’t cook beans on toast!!!

All our basic skills are being lost today because we are taught that someone else will do it all for us.

We have become reliant on others, instead of taking responsibility for our own lives and doing it ourselves.

So we miss the tremendous feelings of accomplishment when we get it right the first time…

When the meal we cook ourselves comes together perfectly… instead of out of a tin, packet or the microwave.

When the scarf we have knitted is finished… instead of waiting for the fashion trend to change.

When that shelf decides to stay up… without paying the handyman to call.

When we work out a problem and find a solution… our solution.

The one that is right for us… be it about our relationships, job satisfaction, health issuses, education, whatever!

Do it yourself… no-one else can.

Take pride in what you do do…

Become your own expert … on you!!!

Find out what your skills and talents are – by practicing doing for yourself.

Then…

When you know what you can’t do, you can ask someone who can do, to assist you.

I don’t ‘do’ shelves… so I would get someone to do this for me.

But this is not the same disempowering attitude as mentioned above.

I am making this choice for support in this matter.

They act like a catalyst for me getting my shelf up.

Much like the healer appearing to make someone feel better.

I know so well what I wish to convey :-)

And I only hope you can hear it… ha ha ha!!!

Sometimes it gets lost in translation…

Well, I’m off to co-ordinate Sunday lunch coming together perfectly :-)

(Good job there are a several Sundays a month to practice this… :-) )

In Cornwall the smoke alarm told me when the potatoes were done, but here I use a timer and find it works better…ha ha ha!!!

MMmmm…Perhaps this is a task I should delegate, like putting up shelves?

Have a super day and stay cosy :-)

Warm regards

Judith
