Mornin’ all…
I hope you all remembered to put your clocks forward last night, if you live in the UK, but still managed a lie in too
Now, the energy around this week has been very peculiar indeed.
Have you noticed how bewildering it has been?
It seems to be a directional thing
It’s as if your radar guidance system has gone haywire for a day or two…
…as if, I know what I want but getting to that place is a mystery – although it is becoming clearer each day.
It’s a little like going on holidays…
First you consider packing just about everything you own and then you start letting go of ‘stuff’ so you can travel more comfortably.
You begin to understand you don’t need all that ‘baggage’ as it serves no real purpose.
Plus you always come back with more exciting holiday stuff anyway… ha ha ha!
You have to let go off the old baggage to allow in the new.
Space clearing at its best
Emotionally we have to let go of the old and comfortable, the routine and safety and move forward to that which makes us FEEL GOOD about ourselves.
That’s why we all like to buy new clothes for our holidays… it makes us feel good while we are away
We like to present the best of ourselves to new friends in the making.
In new surroundings we strut our stuff with pride and confidence
We smile a lot and feel good about ourselves. We chat and take an interest in everything and everyone around us.
Fish and chips on a bench, by the beach in Spain never tasted so good… ha ha ha!
The locals think you’re bonkers but that’s because the wonder of what they have on their doorstep has become jaded… to them it’s just there, like it always has been.
I lived in London and have never seen St. Paul’s cathedral.
Chris lived almost next door to it and has never been anything but past it… ha ha ha!!!
How many French people do you meet up the Eiffel Tower???
Then we come home to our wardrobe full of the old stuff again and slip right back into our comfort zone… ha ha ha!!!
As if we had never been away
But supposing, just for today… you pretend to be on holidays?
There is plenty of time…
You feel more relaxed. Perhaps you could pretend you are a volunteer at work… ha ha ha!
Or maybe just ‘helping’ a friend out
Slow down and use your Reiki as you would wish to. Start the day with a self treatment. Then stroke some into the cat as you pass, send it to the birds in the bushes, bless your food and drink.
Take time to bless the room you work in and your own work space.
Keep a little teddy to hand and then for anyone who seems ‘out of sorts’, you can send them a little Reiki across the room using the teddy as a surrogate.
Send Reiki to forthcoming meetings or for decisions to be for the highest good of all concerned.
Then in the evening let it all go… for tomorrow you are going somewhere new on holidays, again
And that way you don’t have to take today into tomorrow…
So, while you relax with another self treatment decide where it is you would like to go on your ‘holidays’ tomorrow…
…because your life can always be one big holiday if you really want it to be.
So, do you want to ‘holiday’ in…
A totally new work place? Then have a look in what you could now think of as being the ‘holiday’ jobs brochure
Want to ‘holiday’ with a different partner? Go to the ‘holiday’ destinations where you imagine the person of your dreams might hang out
No good going down the Frog and Bucket and expecting to come home with a Prince Charming… ha ha ha!
(No offense to the Frog and Bucket pub in Manchester, UK of course… ha ha ha!)
Want to ‘holiday’ in a healthier, slimmer body? Then don’t over eat, especially if it makes you feel bad about yourself – because you should only be doing things which make you feel GOOD about yourself.
…because ‘holiday’ people ONLY do things which makes them feel GOOD
And don’t forget to support your body if it is feeling poorly. It’s trying to tell you to let go of something which doesn’t make you feel good, literally
Okay, all that brings me nicely to this week’s question…
Q…
G’day Everyone,
Can someone please explain how to do a Reiki Blessing?
I know to visualize the Power symbol into your palm before shaking someone’s hand BUT do you “intend a blessing” as well?
What do you think, do you think “Bless this person” or what? How do you “Bless” something?
Puzzled… Thanks & Blessings
Kris
And my answer…
Yes Kris, you’re absolutely right – you simply ‘intend’ a blessing.
For your intention is the pathway to everything!
Also, to me, giving a blessing is to say Thank You for a thing being as it is – or to intend by doing something – that that thing, is the best it can be.
To maximise its potential.
To give a Thank You prior to it being the best it can be… but acknowledging that the ‘best’ part is there in the making.
A blessing demonstrates your appreciation
Using Reiki energy to bless something is simply bringing the steadfast and true nature of the situation to the fore.
So to bless a room you can draw out any or all the symbols in front of the walls, ceiling and floor.
Gently blow the symbols into the bricks and mortar and
affirm …
“I call upon the Reiki energy to bless this room with love, light and laughter. For the highest good of all concerned”
Or you can adapt that for a situation, a meeting, your food and drink, certain events, exam papers, etc.
But I think what you have written at the end of your note: ‘Thanks and Blessings’ is perfect too – it’s short sweet and says it all…
Until next week…
Judith
