Dropping In On Reiki

Mornin’ all…

This week has seen a surge of positive energy exploding forth. This is great for getting things moving. For creating the action and enthusiasm that is needed for those new opportunities that are presenting…

Even when the pendulum effect is all too often swinging back and forth creating havoc in our lives.

First up then down… feel good, feel bad, positive, negative, hopeful, forlorn, trusting, doubting, happy, grumpy :-)

Funny how I just wrote all the positives first and then ‘knocked ‘em back’ with a negative… ha ha ha!!!

But that is so like it is… brilliant – BUT :-) Now is the time to balance things – but what does that mean?

To weigh things up, opportunities and the like. Do they feel like the right thing for you right now or would something a little more or less be better?

Balancing the budget… ha ha ha!!! What we see ourselves having and what we have already achieved.

Setting the right action in motion…

First we have to understand that all action stems from non-action and to move at all you first have to be still. This is not just an outer manifestation of stillness/action but crucially an internal state.

So before you rush off headlong into something, first sit still, literally :-)

We need to bring balance to every situation… and how can we do that?

By using your Reiki of course!

First thing in the morning find a quiet space and a comfy chair :-)

Make yourself comfortable and cosy (heck it is chilly here at the moment!).

Draw out the distance symbol over your palms, say the name over each hand 3 times and lightly place one resting on your heart area and the other on your solar plexus. Doesn’t matter which hand goes on which area, just be comfortable.

Then murmur to yourself… “I call upon the Reiki energy for me, right here and right now. May the energy be used for my highest good and the highest good of all concerned”.

Take three relaxing good breaths… not so big you feel like you’re exaggerating and not so small you don’t feel the wave of movement.

Close your eyes… softly become aware of any tension being held in your body starting at the bottom end, with your feet.

At each point simply ask your body to release and relax… let go.

Pause until it does…

Then draw your awareness up and up your whole body, checking for and releasing any tense areas.

Now just watch your breathing:-) Ask and allow your breathing to become relaxed and natural.

Just watch…

Be aware of your breathing around your belly button, just below is your tan tien… just relax and watch.

You have nothing to do right now except sit still and watch your breathing.

The chair is supporting you, the cover keeping you cosy and time does not exist :-)

This whole endeavour has taken maybe 5 minutes. Already you feel the benefit. Even reading this process will calm and bring an awareness to you :-)

Sit for as long as it feels right. Remember this is easy and simple.

You can drop into this still centre anytime you wish. On the train home, the bus ride to work, even at the traffic lights for a few seconds – for It can be the briefest of moments that you touch base – but these frequent visits during the day will refresh and revive your flagging spirit.

The key to this is dropping into your ‘centre’ – and do treat it like a ‘drop in centre’ too. Just sink your energy, ground yourself – drop in and take five.

When you are centred, you are in balance. Life is not peaks and troughs but a gentle sway of the ocean waves beneath you.

When you have had enough…

Take another good breath, rub a power symbol over your tummy and murmur the name 3 times… sorted.

A living meditation is done in a living world. This simple practice will bring balance to your daily life without one interrupting the other. In fact they are one and the same… stillness/action :-)

I like to use the Reiki distance symbol because it represents expanded consciousness and awareness which is the very essence of meditation. But use whichever symbol feels good to you.

Now you are in a constant state of inner stillness, if not just drop in again for a moment or two, then the outer state can get on and ‘do’ something… ha ha ha!!!

Your energy has become more calm and steadfast.

Balance in all things :-)

Champion… I might try that again later on the sofa after lunch… perfick :-)

Have a super Sunday…

Judith.
