Sunday Reiki Chat

More Haste, Less Speed

Mornin’ everyone…

Have you ever noticed when you ‘try’ to hurry things up, everything conspires to slow you down?

Take this, for example…

DC’s friend Tom has been staying for a few days and we’re all going to Geoff’s Tearooms for Sunday lunch at 12.30.

Then the two lads are off back to Worcester.

Which means this newsletter has to be done before DC goes, as I can’t upload it – or whatever it is he does with it Smiley

So, I’m feeling as if I have to rush…

Even though the day outside is flat, grey and dull looking…

…and I didn’t want to get out of bed to start with!

…only joking of course Smiley

But you see, this week seemed to start off with a rush of energy with ‘this and that’ having to be achieved.

And then another set of ‘this and that’s’ turned up to distract us – don’t they always? Smiley

So, after that initial gush of energy, everything had to slow down.

Don’t get me wrong though, we’ve achieved most of what we set out to do, but in a much slower and more thoughtful way…

…things just had to be kind of modified and redesigned a little.

But, as they say – whoever they are – ‘You can’t rush a good thing’…

And I think that’s quite true!

You have to savor the ups and downs…

The challenges and ‘learning’ curves that life reveals to you…

With you bending and flexing until whatever it is you are dealing with takes a more solid shape.

Before rushing off to the finish line neglecting to lay firm foundations…

…rushing to achieve your desires and completely missing the small pleasures of discovery.

…rushing totally focussed on one goal and completely missing the opportunity to expand, enlarge and envision the next step… the bigger picture Smiley

A bit like the tortoise and the hare… Smiley

But you must also trust yourselves implicitly.

For you really do know which energy is appropriate for each moment.

Now, for me personally this week, I have felt like the tortoise surrounded by hares…

But next week I may be the hare surrounded by go slow tortoises… ha ha ha!!!

And therefore what I write next week will be from a different perspective.

Ha ha ha!!! Women – or is it life?! Smiley

Whatever happens though, I do know I will laugh and enjoy whatever I create and I hope you all do too Smiley

Good luck to everyone with their new adventures/ventures/jobs/relationships…

Have a fun day with family and friends or a peaceful, loving space with yourself.

Now I have to dash and get a few things done before that lunch date and you know how time flies Smiley

Warmest regards to all

Judith.
