Welcome To The Incredible World Of Reiki

Reiki, ah yes, Reiki. A word many have heard - but few truly understand.

To most people Reiki is all about healing. And yes it is indeed a healing art as we’ll explain…

But - it is also so much more as well…

So What Exactly is Reiki?

Reiki, as we have already said, is best known in the west as a gentle but powerful system of hands on healing. And it is a system, which can easily be learned by anyone to heal themselves, others, plants and animals.

But as mentioned above it is so much more as well.

Reiki helps you…

What Is Chikara-Reiki-Do

Chikara-Reiki-Do... What is it?

Well, in one sense, Chikara-Reiki-Do is a unique system of self-initiation techniques which allows you to attune yourself to the wonderful energy of Reiki rediscovered - some say discovered - by Dr Usui.

But it's somewhat more than this too, because expanding on the original Usui system - as it does - it also enables you to directly attune all seven of your major chakras to the Reiki energy - not just two - and...

Because you do it all yourself you can also re-attune yourself whenever you choose...

A definite plus when it comes to consolidating the energy within you...

Who Attuned Usui?

Has anyone ever asked you this question before? Indeed, have you ever asked it yourself?

Chances are, on both counts, that you haven’t - and this is not at all surprising.

For you see…

Nobody actually gives it much thought.

Everyone seems quite happy to just accept the history as given by other Reiki practitioners, and…

No matter which story of the origins of Reiki you choose to believe in - you are asked to accept that the ability to channel Reiki can only be passed on to you by an existing Reiki Master.

And, at least initially, this sounds plausible and quite acceptable…

Until you look a little deeper…

Latest Sunday Reiki Chat's

A Pregnant Pause

Mornin’ folks…

It’s still grey, still cold and nothing to write home about :-(

But the thing about staying in, of course, is you get the other jobs done :-)

We’ve been able to put up another YouTube video and hopefully we can continue to do that with some regularity.

So please do send in your Reiki questions and I will do my best to answer them either here on the Sunday Chat or in a YouTube video – or maybe even both.

And of course I will respect your confidentiality…

OK, I’m going to jump right in and start with questions this week as the two I have chosen are quite long.

The first question is…

Q… I was wondering…. do you have anything you can share with me on Reiki to assist with getting pregnant.

Some of us maybe experiencing blockages or difficulties to becoming pregnant… both male and female. Can you offer some guidelines on how specifically Reiki can be used to overcome those blockages and allow pregnancy to naturally occur?

How should that particular Reiki treatment be carried out?

Would really love to hear your take on it… and then probably go on to Reiki during pregnancy.

And my answer…

That’s Handy

Mornin all…

Is it just me or has anyone else been feeling that they didn’t quite get everything done this week?

It’s been a swimming uphill sort of a week for me and here we are at Sunday again!

And… it seems as if someone put the lights out too…

…as the weather has been wet, cold and dull beyond measure.

In fact, the only colour visible is grey.

But, one of the ways you can give yourself a pick-me-up, as I have been doing myself, is by using one of our beautiful meditations.

Now, it’s recommended you do one before getting out of bed first thing in the morning…

…and it’s a powerful time to do so of course – whilst also giving you the most perfect excuse for gaining an extra few minutes cosy lie in… ha ha ha!

The Ultimate Chakra Balancing meditation will help to bring some colour and vibrancy back into your life :-)

And for those having bush fires and sunstroke…

…perhaps half an hour in the shade listening to the Reiki Riches meditation will ignite your passion to pursue your New Year’s goals again :-)

Here’s the link for you choose which one might suit you best right now…

OK, this week’s questions…

Sail Boats At The Ready

Mornin’ all

Sail boats at the ready… the big thaw is happening now…ha ha ha!!!

If it involves wet weather we get it over here!

But finally the lads have cleared the front courtyard of the thick ice and we can now get the car out :-)

Freedom!!!

Christmas has gone, New Year has gone, the snow is almost gone and now the next two weeks stretch out in front like a huge chasm…

The end of January is often slow and wearing. All the excitement has fizzled out.

The boss is back to being bossy :-)

Your busy social life has bombed :-)

And any cracks in any relationship have probably widened like the split in your pre-diet, bulging trousers… ha ha ha!

So, a champion thing to beat the January blues is to take action of some sort to move you towards one of your goals.

First thing is to write your goals down though – and you have done that, of course, haven’t you… :-)

Now, don’t be put off by what others think, for that is simply their opinion and the only opinion that should ever count to you, is yours…

So if you have stopped smoking and now no-one notices… well done you! Carry on moving towards that goal of health.

If the diet is beginning to flag and the Easter chocolate eggs are beckoning… well done you for resisting and moving towards your target dress/trouser size.

And if those weights are just gathering dust in the corner of the room, move towards them and get started now :-)

But today is Sunday – so put your feet up on the sofa while the lunch cooks and enjoy a nice cuppa… chuffin’ :-)

OK… here’s a good question…

Snow, Snow And More Snow

Good mornin’ all…

We’ve had such fun in the snow this week but I know a lot of people have been caught out. Well the forecast was for lots more snow, so I filled the freezer on Monday and then we had no worries and could enjoy life whatever the weather, the weather threw at us :-)

And by jove it did do… ha ha ha!

Poor old Chris and DC have spent most of this week clearing snow and then 30 minutes later having to clear it again!

But we don’t mind because snow is so beautiful :-) We haven’t seen snow 2 feet deep or had it for so long – for at least 40 years that we can remember.

I hope no-one mentions global warming… ha ha ha! I’ve added a couple of little videos for you to see the wonder in our garden too.

Mr Po, our cat, who is feeling his age at the moment, was not at all keen on going out :-) Blimey, I remember when he thought the snow was fun to prance around in!

It was just too deep and tickly on his tummy I think :-) Right now it is so deep in the back garden it is up past the top of my wellies!

And yes I am feeding the birds :-)

Now, what a nice idea to think about holidays when the snow is thick on the ground, so here’s a Summer question

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Mornin’ all…

Already it is the 3rd January! Christmas and New Year celebrations fade into the background once more…

On Christmas Eve we were invited by our new neighbours for lunch. And a jolly nice lunch it was too! We tried some Black Bun, which is a Scottish thing, like a tea loaf wrapped in pastry…

…and it does taste a lot nicer than it sounds :-)

Morgan and David, the new neighbours, have a smashing 4 year old son, called Hugh, and as children do, he wanted to play ‘monsters’ :-)

Fortunately DC came with us, so he got to play the monster!

It was lovely to hear the squeals of delight as the monster got closer. But afterwards it got me thinking just how like life that is.

We love to dice with danger…

We enjoy the thrills and spills…

We love to be chased, as long as we have a ’safe area’ that the monster cannot get us in… usually Mum’s lap… ha ha ha!!!

But have you noticed how in grown-up life we often draw the ‘monster experiences’ to us too…

I don’t mean monster people chasing us, although that does happen, but the thrilling experiences of losing your job… :-)

The financial brink of extinction… ha ha ha!!!

Being backed into a corner with no escape… :-)

‘Accidents’ that challenge even the bravest of us… :-)

We love the drama, the challenge, the thrill… the bloomin’ ALIVENESS of it all… ha ha ha!!!

And if we are not experiencing some sort of ‘personal episode’ at the moment, we tend to create one by poking, pleading and cajoling, until the monster that is life gears up into action again.

Then we FEEL ALIVE :-)

Then we have a purpose, a direction, a cause to fight for, or against…
