Reiki, ah yes, Reiki. A word many have heard - but few truly understand.
To most people Reiki is all about healing. And yes it is indeed a healing art as we’ll explain…
But - it is also so much more as well…
So What Exactly is Reiki?
Reiki, as we have already said, is best known in the west as a gentle but powerful system of hands on healing. And it is a system, which can easily be learned by anyone to heal themselves, others, plants and animals.
But as mentioned above it is so much more as well.
Reiki helps you…

Chikara-Reiki-Do... What is it?
Well, in one sense, Chikara-Reiki-Do is a unique system of self-initiation techniques which allows you to attune yourself to the wonderful energy of Reiki rediscovered - some say discovered - by Dr Usui.
But it's somewhat more than this too, because expanding on the original Usui system - as it does - it also enables you to directly attune all seven of your major chakras to the Reiki energy - not just two - and...
Because you do it all yourself you can also re-attune yourself whenever you choose...
A definite plus when it comes to consolidating the energy within you...

Has anyone ever asked you this question before? Indeed, have you ever asked it yourself?
Chances are, on both counts, that you haven’t - and this is not at all surprising.
For you see…
Nobody actually gives it much thought.
Everyone seems quite happy to just accept the history as given by other Reiki practitioners, and…
No matter which story of the origins of Reiki you choose to believe in - you are asked to accept that the ability to channel Reiki can only be passed on to you by an existing Reiki Master.
And, at least initially, this sounds plausible and quite acceptable…
Until you look a little deeper…

By forgiving others, for what we have perceived they have done, we can let go. For truly, whatever they ‘did’, it is only our perception of it that has hurt us. Whatever it was they did, created an experience for us which then generated our ‘interpretation’ of the event.
But by using Reiki we can go back and change our perception of what happened and release the pain or hurt.
By using Reiki we can face our past experiences with a renewed confidence and detachment. From this newer perspective we see the greater overall view, the larger picture and how others may have been feeling or their motives.
Then we can use our Reiki to forgive them, as we see how they have struggled with their own emotions of jealousy, anger, hatred, powerlessness, whatever… There are no excuses needed for their behaviour. It was, quite simply, what it was…

My question is about acne. I am 29 years old and am suffering from painful acne along the sides and jaw line of my face. I have had small outbreaks, but nothing like this. In the past I used Pro-Active, which helped, but now it is not.
From reading the reiki books and your chats, I “know” that I attract illness so I assume the same goes for acne?
Do you have anything that can help?
Thank you, J.
And my answer…
One thing I do know before I launch into a reply is that any ‘skinny’ condition is linked with anger and a poor opinion of yourself.
On an external practical level keeping the skin simply clean and dry helps, with no greasy creams. Too many steroid based creams, which lessen the inflammation but will thin and weaken the skin in…

Good afternoon’ all…
When an Englishman has had lunch we can then call it afternoon
Sorry this is a bit late coming out to you but the whole weekend seems to be about 7 hours later than usual. This is because yesterday started well but then we had the proverbial ‘computer glitch’ which meant the special Ultimate Reiki Package offer was delayed going out while DC fixed it.
It took 6 hours but he did it! Bit of Reiki needed for the stress levels… ha ha ha!
Happy St Patrick’s Day to…

This is DC’s last Sunday without joining us for Sunday Lunch, next week he will be back with us once more
The Sunday matinee of Oklahoma is his last performance.
I must say he seems to have really enjoyed this show. He loves all the dancing and it certainly keeps him fit!
Well, the daffodils are bursting out all over the grounds and really brightening up the dull winter views. It’s lovely to see some colour coming back to the world again.
How quickly things change and the seasons move on.
How quickly life…

Not that much excitement here though, as our little enclave is very secluded and sheltered. We did get the gales and stair
rodding rain but it was a more muted version.
We slept right though the earthquake
not like the couple we had when we lived in Bredbury – one of those shook the house
from top to bottom and knocked things off the tables, but nothing major happened really.
Okay then…
