Welcome To The Incredible World Of Reiki

Reiki, ah yes, Reiki. A word many have heard - but few truly understand.

To most people Reiki is all about healing. And yes it is indeed a healing art as we’ll explain…

But - it is also so much more as well…

So What Exactly is Reiki?

Reiki, as we have already said, is best known in the west as a gentle but powerful system of hands on healing. And it is a system, which can easily be learned by anyone to heal themselves, others, plants and animals.

But as mentioned above it is so much more as well.

Reiki helps you…

What Is Chikara-Reiki-Do

Chikara-Reiki-Do... What is it?

Well, in one sense, Chikara-Reiki-Do is a unique system of self-initiation techniques which allows you to attune yourself to the wonderful energy of Reiki rediscovered - some say discovered - by Dr Usui.

But it's somewhat more than this too, because expanding on the original Usui system - as it does - it also enables you to directly attune all seven of your major chakras to the Reiki energy - not just two - and...

Because you do it all yourself you can also re-attune yourself whenever you choose...

A definite plus when it comes to consolidating the energy within you...

Who Attuned Usui?

Has anyone ever asked you this question before? Indeed, have you ever asked it yourself?

Chances are, on both counts, that you haven’t - and this is not at all surprising.

For you see…

Nobody actually gives it much thought.

Everyone seems quite happy to just accept the history as given by other Reiki practitioners, and…

No matter which story of the origins of Reiki you choose to believe in - you are asked to accept that the ability to channel Reiki can only be passed on to you by an existing Reiki Master.

And, at least initially, this sounds plausible and quite acceptable…

Until you look a little deeper…

Latest Sunday Reiki Chat's

Is it me or is it him?

Mornin’ all…

Winter is upon us at last :-)

Well, as I said to my friend in Canada, when we get snow, it is more like dandruff by comparison… ha ha ha!!!

But my other friend in Hawaii would be frozen to the marrow just thinking about our weather… ha ha ha!!!

So, perhaps we should all become permanent travellers and just follow the sun :-)

Funny how we place bets on whether it will snow on Christmas day, do the Aussies bet on whether it will be sunny???

Just wondering out loud :-)

I have done most of what needs to be done and it is tucked away in the freezer :-) The rest is stashed in the chocolate basket and I’m not mentioning where that is…

Particularly as we’ve just added some delicious handmade rum truffles to it.

Yummy, roll on Christmas day I say… ha ha ha!!!

Okay then, I’d better answer a question before I get too distracted :-)

And please just bear this in mind…

Whenever I answer a question, I reply intuitively to each individual. So if another person asked virtually the same question, my answer might be very different.

So here goes…

Q… I took your Reiki course about 6 months ago to help my husband, who keeps having pains all over his body. I do Reiki on him but it just seems to work for a day and then the next day the pain is back again.

I don’t understand.

I thought Reiki would heal him or cure him of this. Mine doesn’t seem like it does anything to heal him. It just seems like a good band-aid.

What good is it, if it does not cure him?

Thanks…

And my answer…

Who do you trust?

Good mornin’ all…

I hope you all missed me last week?

We had a marvellous week with June, my oldest and closest friend coming up to stay – We’ve now been friends for 51 years!!!

Not only did we have extra cake but we also got a lot of work done too…

…in between eating out and cups of coffee that is… ha ha ha!!!

But I must admit to shirking when it came to writing the Sunday Chat…

So now I had better knuckle down get on with this week’s musings… :-)

A question…

Dear Judith,

It has been sometime since I have written. Life is still very busy and very, very complicated.

I still have the tumor/lesion/unidentified mass (they don’t know what it is because they cannot biopsy it) in my spinal cord and the traditional ‘docs’ have now put me off treatment until next February.

This gives me lots of time to work on this via homeopathy, prayer, exercise and of course Reiki methods.

I am currently seeing a traditional Chinese Medical Practitioner (a doctor for over 40 years) and she specializes in acupuncture, herbal medicines etc.

I mentioned to her that I was studying Reiki and she told me not to try to heal myself at this time and indicated that self-healing is not possible. She said that I have too many toxins in my body and too much stress in my life and my Chi is too weak to even attempt a healing.

The toxins and blocked Chi scenario resonate as true to me but not being able to heal myself seems to contradict what I have learned about Reiki from you…

Reiki Purist?

Mornin’ all…

I am just going to express one of my opinions this morning… again!

It’s one of the perks I allow myself… ha ha ha!

Okay then, here we go.

I’ve had a few emails recently from people asking that if they take our course, can they then join someone else’s Reiki club, like the Reiki Alliance for example.

Now, we have nothing against the Reiki Alliance or any other Reiki club for that matter…

…it is, after all, purely a matter of choice…

However, to set the record straight, we are not part of the Reiki Alliance or any other Reiki club – but then again, they are not part of us either :-)

Which, as we are a very large group in ourselves, is perhaps something they should consider doing :-)

No, no, no, not really, I’m just kidding ha, ha, ha!!!

No, we want Reiki to be utterly, completely and absolutely free from any bureaucratic type intervention whatsoever…

…for Reiki is a divine part of you – it’s not something that can be given to you or taken away from you – it’s an undeniable facet of your own divine life force energy…

A facet Dr Usui rediscovered during his own self-attunement to the beautiful energy of Reiki.

Now, you may become a Reiki Master Teacher using our course but unfortunately – we would say fortunately – the Reiki Alliance and most other self appointed “Reiki Control Clubs” will not recognise your training or allow you to join their ‘club’…

Good Grief!

Mornin’ all…

This week saw my old school friend buried and even though we hadn’t spoken for years it seems sad for someone so young to go.

When someone you know so intimately dies, a little of you dies too…

…they take with them memories that only you and they shared at the time.

The mischief and mayhem that Andy and I got up to as teenagers will soon be long forgotten – with only me left to smile at the memories… ha ha ha!!!

We had some good times!!! – There are no accidents and life goes on for living :-)

But with that in mind I thought this an appropriate question to answer…

Q… Can Reiki be used to cope with grief?

It’s been almost 3 months since my hubby passed away, and I am getting worse with time.

And my answer…

A… Yes, Reiki is excellent for grief. It allows you to love and care for yourself and give you some clarity for the future…

But…

It is probably best if you go to a practitioner for a few treatments to start with, especially if you feel so down at the moment.

For it can be hard to ‘do for ourselves’ at such times.

Anything ‘touching’ would also be good for you…

Just A Jumble

Mornin’ all…

Hope you all had a lucky Friday the 13th… ours was okay, but…

Bloomin’ heck it’s been chilly this week, with a lovely hint of damp cold thrown in too, the sort that chills your bones, right down to the very marrow :-(

Which, I would think, must leave all of you ‘down under’ smiling broadly in the nice spring warmth :-)

But, so far, up here in the far north east of the country we have fared much better than those down south, with the weather, so it’s not been too bad really.

And it’s given us the chance to have a jolly good go at clearing up the leaves in the back garden so now, at least, you can see the lawn is still green.

Now, tidying up and clearing out, sorting and organising, is the theme that prevails this week.

As everything seems such a jumble.

My thoughts are a jumble too – with a bit of this and a bit of that…

And at this time of the year, with nature dying back and resting, with the animals settling in for winter weather, it is good to take stock of all you do have.

To be appreciative too…

Ask what it is you really need? How much do you really need? What is it you really want?

It’s time to get things sorted and organised now before your winter arrives…

Literally and symbolically!

Don’t let your fire of enthusiasm wane, it is NEVER TOO LATE!

Gather all that is necessary for your journey ahead. Plan and gather all the information you need…
