Chances are, on both counts, that you haven’t - and this is not at all surprising.
For you see…
Nobody actually gives it much thought.
Everyone seems quite happy to just accept the history as given by other Reiki practitioners, and…
No matter which story of the origins of Reiki you choose to believe in - you are asked to accept that the ability to channel Reiki can only be passed on to you by an existing Reiki Master.
And, at least initially, this sounds plausible and quite acceptable…

Sorry if you missed me last weekend but Chris and I decided, at the very last minute, to go away for our 24th wedding anniversary!
Hmmm, where does the time go?
We went off down to Chester, which, as you might remember, is one of our favourite places 
and it happened to be a very busy weekend all round as the Chester races were on.
It’s quite a spectacle, even if you don’t like horse racing…
As everyone dresses up to the nines and promenades around the town having a fine old time.

Happy Jewish New Year!
Well, the leaves are falling thick and fast and the feeling in the air is one of settling down and getting things done before the weather changes… or something changes

Q… I have done the self attunement twice now, I felt calmer and get a tingling in my head from the top down to about nose level, but don’t feel any heat in my hands as others claim to get, (which I really want to feel).
Any tips on how to achieve this please?

Mornin’ all…
It was a wonderful weekend last week and a real pleasure to see my oldest friend June again – and it’s incredible to think we’ve now been friends for over 50 years!
Hmmm, how time flies, when you’re having fun
The weather’s been mellow this week and so has the general feelings all round even though…
…as a lot of you may well have already discovered, we now have a new helpdesk system
Now, please note that part of the name which says HELP!
Because we got it to err, well, help!
And, it’s not actually been very helpful so far – but really, in all fairness, it’s down to operator error – which is a rather nice way of saying we’re still learning the finer points
So, this way of contacting us may be a little more awkward at first but I’m sure we will all get the hang of it soon… especially me… ha ha ha!
Therefore, I do apologise if some of you have had empty replies to your tickets, but in my defence I’m not a techie as you all probably already know and I have now held up my hands and confessed… ha ha ha!…

Happy Labour Day to those in the USA! I’m sure we can all manage to squeeze in a treat or two this weekend to show our support
Fortunately my oldest friend June is visiting, so that is another good excuse to treat ourselves to something nice.

Q…In your last Sunday Chat you mentioned giving Reiki before surgery and after surgery. When my son recently went into hospital for a hernia operation I sent Reiki by distance while he was being operated on. Was this the wrong thing to do?

Mornin’ everyone…
Here’s keeping my fingers crossed for super weather this weekend as it is the last bank holiday of the UK year
I know we all have our public holidays at different times but that’s so we can all join in across the globe. So, do get yourselves in a holiday mood and treat yourself to something silly and nice… ha ha ha!

I have read many times on the internet, that the only thing Reiki should not be used for is healing a broken bone. At least not until after it has been set.
Reiki has been documented as healing the break very quickly.
