Reiki And Perfection
Listen In Audio
Hi everyone…
It rained here on Tuesday which as you may or may not know, was St Swithin’s Day.
Now, legend has it that when he was buried he wanted to be outside so he could feel the rain upon his body.
Smashing… but then, many years later his remains were taken inside the cathedral.
Bad move
…it started to rain and continued to do so for the next 40 days and 40 nights
So, legend has it that if it rains on St Swithen’s day it will continue for the next 40 days, and…
Ahem, it’s been right so far…
But who really believes in these folk tales now, eh?
An Englishman knows a thing or two about rain… Pah!
We probably invented the stuff… ha ha ha! But if not, we can certainly lay claim to talking about it incessantly… ha ha ha!
But, enough of English history!
Now we all strive to be the best we can but we are never going to be perfect… thank heavens!!!
And for every dis-advantage we appear to have, there is another beneficial advantage just waiting for us to use.
For example, most blind people hear exceptionally well and have a far better sense of touch than sighted folk and they also ’see’ better with their ‘mind’s eye’ too.
When we have a disability, challenge, obstacle or whatever, it is best to acknowledge it, rather than ignore or pretend it doesn’t exist.
Then simply develop those attributes you do have, to compensate for the ones you don’t have.
And that applies to everyone!
If you cannot spell to save your life, (like me!) get a spell checker…
If it’s difficult for you to go out, get people to come to you…
If you can’t swim, stay in the boat… ha ha ha!
In our imaginations we can still achieve our dreams but we may have to be creative about the way we set to it
OK… On to this week’s question…
I have a little question first that I think will probably amuse you but I need to check! My middle (fire) finger on my right hand is missing from the top joint upwards, having been bitten off by a dog a few years ago.
Will this be detrimental?
I can’t believe I’m asking you this, I know it is probably akin to asking if I’ve lost my left foot can I still type!!
V.
And my answer…
Hi V
Well done you for asking.
It takes courage to appear foolish… which shows you have spirit and determination and a champion sense of humour.
Losing the tip of your finger is no problem – and you still have some of the finger to shoot with anyway
Our energy ‘leaks, leaps or sparks’ from any sharp part of our bodies, for example: elbows, shoulder tips, heels, toes, all the other fingers
, tip of your nose or even your ‘gaijin’ bum… ha ha ha!
And we can control and direct our Reiki energy by using our intention and imagination or our intention coupled with ‘breathing with intention’ too…
So, as we focus our intention, then so will it be… with or without said finger to point with
For where the thought goes, the energy flows.
Of course you may have trouble finding the ‘wind direction’ but you could always lick your elbow and stick that in the air instead… (Yes, I know it’s impossible… ha ha ha!)
Well, I hope this reassures anyone who thinks they are not ‘quite right’ – not perfect enough – to be able to perform Reiki…
…as anyone can do Reiki!
You cannot be too saintly or sinning, fat or thin, tall or short, young or old.
You can have all your parts or you may have lost a few… it’s all absolutely okay.
You really can adapt YOUR expression of YOUR Reiki energy to suit YOU.
Now that is perfect
Okay then, before I go I’d just like to tell you about our new Reiki meditation mp3 which will be available next week.
It incorporates Binaural Beats, Monaural Beats and also the more advanced Isochronic tones to effortlessly transport you into a deep state of meditation…
…where you can quickly and easily bring about positive changes in your life.
I’ll tell you more about it soon, but ‘till then…
Have a wonderful weekend somewhere dry
Judith.
