Good mornin’ all

I am not going to even mention ‘it’ today as I was told off last week and reminded that we are not the only ones having a wet time of it… ha ha ha!

This weekend is the last holiday weekend of the summer here in the UK, so I hope everyone is having a smashing time, whatever you are doing.

Our ‘school holidays’ are drawing to a close and the summer energy is beginning to lose it momentum.

Still, we did manage a couple of trips out and about this week.

Monday we went to Etal, a small village just up the road and had a lovely pub lunch of steak pie with homemade chips/French fries :-)

It’s a very pretty village with whitewashed and thatched cottages and a small castle, plus a ford across the river Till.

Tuesday we called in at the Oxford Tearooms, again, not far away, but somewhere we’ve only passed by before.

They do very nice set ‘afternoon teas’, including yummy cream filled meringues :-) , at a very reasonable price too – but unfortunately, as it is a ‘pick your own’ fruit farm as well, there were rather a lot of wasps about :-(

I think we’ll wait until the wasps are gone before going back again. It reminded me of the sort of farm Enid Blyton’s Famous Five would have visited… ha ha ha!

Wednesday we went to Melrose – which was very pretty even in the rain :-)

We have found that keying in the ‘short route’ in the sat nav takes us down little lanes and through obscure villages.

A magical mystery tour!

Plus we meet very little traffic…

We parked in Melrose and had a mooch around the shops, very nice but silly prices. Then we do as we always do and asked a local lady where the best coffee shop was and she suggested a garden centre just outside the town.

It was called The Hundred Akerwood :-)

So off we went and blow me down with a feather, they did Starbucks coffee… double excellent :-) and with a white chocolate topped cherry cake to go with it :-)

Perfick :-)

They also had a short woodland walk for the kiddies with hens and rabbits and peacocks to see.

Everywhere was decorated with Winnie the Pooh characters too.

But I digress… I’d better answer the question before I go on another wander about :-)

Here it is then…

Hi there, just a quick question.

Does Reiki help with people’s physical illnesses and emotional?

At the moment, I can heal and help people but then need to do it again sometimes.

Kind regards :-)

I.

And my quick answer… :-)

Hi I

Yes, Reiki will help with physical, mental and emotional problems because it works on the WHOLE person at every level.

How does it do that?

Because there really is only one level… and that’s The All Of It Level :-)

But please do remember – you do not actually heal anyone, nobody does; they ‘heal’ themselves when they are ready.

You act as a catalyst and support system…

You become a steady rock upon which they can find their footing and regain their balance.

Your unwavering sharing of your positive Reiki energy then energises them to make the positive changes they need to make.

Now, that may be enough Reiki energy for their bodies to physically heal from an illness or the steadfast and true energy they need to regain their mental and emotional composure.

They may ‘need’ many sessions with you or sometimes just the one :-)

But if they do require more than one session, this is not a reflection on you or your abilities to ‘heal’ as such.

It is simply the requirements of the person, at that time.

Ok then… DC is off supporting a friend in a running event and won’t be back until later, so I think a nice cup of tea and a sit down is in order.

I might just watch the Countryfile weather report for the week ahead and see if we can plan a few trips out next week before the nights begin to draw in again.

You can watch as well if you like at…

Remember – think long, hot Indian summer please… ha ha ha!

Wishing you all that you wish for yourself…
