Reiki Parameters
Parameters – A constant element or factor serving as a limit or boundary.
Regardless of what people say nowadays, we all need parameters.
They make us feel safe.
They give us something to lean on and feel comfortable.
They support us when we feel unsure or insecure.
They give us something to push against when we feel confident.
Right from the start we need to set up parameters – personal parameters.
Just as a baby physically grows out of their clothes, cot and bottle feeds, so we constantly carry on growing mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
How do you know that though, if you don’t push the parameters you set for yourself?
How can we use the words Radical Reiki, and know we are radical, if there are not set parameters of ordinary Reiki?
Parameters come in various disguises.
A large parameter has just been broken/pushed/expanded by us 
Suddenly we have moved the boundaries, literally, by moving into a huge house from a cosy cottage.
The walls have literally moved.
This made us all feel very happy, but a bit wobbly too.
For there is a period of adjustment needed where we/you ‘grow into’ the new parameters.
You grow and become safe and comfortable once more. You become familiar and confident with everything.
Once that happens…
Yes! It’s time to reset your parameters again.
At first, to gain confidence and experience, you need to have guidelines.
You need to feel safe and that you are doing things ‘correctly’ like everyone else.
You fit in…
You follow the rules…
You accept the parameters laid down by someone else.
But after a while, you know that for you, there is more.
Another way maybe, a variation on the general theme.
The parameters are no longer safe and comfortable; they have become restrictive and suffocating.
It’s time for you to then step ‘outside your box’, so to speak.
To push your parameters…
Break the mold…
Discover how amazing and powerful you really are on your own.
Then you set your own parameters.
Then you become comfortable with your own rules. Then others fit in with you.
Before you know it, you have grown into a ‘personally powerful person’
Otherwise known as a charismatic leader!
But only you know when you are ready to stretch your legs.
Only you know when you are ready to reset your parameters.
If your life feels as if it doesn’t quite fit anymore, then perhaps the time is now?
How does that relationship work… for you?
How does that work situation feel… for you?
Is your house too big or small… for you?
Only you know.
