Good mornin’ all…
This is DC’s last Sunday without joining us for Sunday Lunch, next week he will be back with us once more 
The Sunday matinee of Oklahoma is his last performance.
I must say he seems to have really enjoyed this show. He loves all the dancing and it certainly keeps him fit!
Well, the daffodils are bursting out all over the grounds and really brightening up the dull winter views. It’s lovely to see some colour coming back to the world again.
How quickly things change and the seasons move on.
How quickly life happens But the beauty of getting older is that you do slow down naturally – not that we’re THAT old of course…
…but instead of whizzing about here and there we now tend to potter. Instead of dashing from A to B we tend to take the scenic route and enjoy the views Instead of skipping meals life seems to be one long teabreak… ha ha ha!
In fact, we often enjoy life without moving at all… ha ha ha!
Life seems to come to us so we can observe, experience and enjoy it at a much more leisurely pace.
And if we had a veranda or front porch we’d both be sat on it rockin’
Interestingly enough, they’re building ‘slow’ towns now and there is a ‘slow’ food movement here in the UK. So slow is most definately catching on…
The weird thing is I do more now than I ever did rushing around. Perhaps that old saying ‘more haste, less speed’ is right
Okay then, I had best get on and answer a question before you all fall asleep
I have answered two questions which, to me, seem related. I am a great believer in TRUSTING YOURSELF. In trusting that part of you, that knows what is right for you.
Now, Reiki is a word to denote the One energy…
…a set of rituals to enable you to sense this energy for yourself…
…a marvellously simple tool that allows you to feel, use and demonstrate this One energy in your own unique fashion.
For each of us brings the essense of ourselves to our demonstration of our Reiki.
OK… The first question…
Do you believe that gut instinct is right to follow?
And my answer…

A… Is there any other instinct to follow?
In fact if your gut is rumbling then I would definately listen as things are louder there than the whisper of a thought in your head or any fleeting tension in your body.
When the gut roars, listen…
When the gut roars there is often something not so nice about a situation. The gut roars at danger!

OK…the second question…
In doing some research on Reiki I came across this man who talks about how attuning with a master links you to everyone else who was attuned before them at the crown.
Sounds a little scary to have everyone elses emotional baggage hanging around your head, literally!
I know your method is mostly self attunements and I want to learn it all but I’m a little nervous about the master attunements after reading this.
Any light you could shed on this would be most helpful. Thanks for your time!

I am not known for my tack and diplomacy… ha ha ha!!!
I went to the site you mentioned and read just a little of what I found there… and what a load of tosh!
That is only my opinion of course but I don’t go along with anything using fear as a form of control.
You see, all you have to ask yourself is: does it ‘feel’ right to YOU?
Does what is being suggested sit comfortably inside you?
Does it fit in with your own thoughts and feelings on such matters?
Yes, of course we are all linked… for there is only one energy. But it’s not a creepy, controlling, manipulative energy generated by someone else.
There is only ONE energy…
Therefore it is you and you are it…
You are the everything and everything is you…
Therefore… You are Reiki and Reiki is you.
There is no separation, duality, two of anything.
There is only YOU…
EVERYTHING is a demonstration of this ‘ONE energy’.
Including this other chap He has simply made you question things for yourself – so YOU can decide what feels right for you.
The Reiki ritual of attunement is to awaken you to this One energy.
Reiki is a tool to use, demonstrate and feel this energy… inside of you and outside of you.
But YOU are the power – you always have been, you always are and you always will be… YOU are the One
