Lazy Sunday

Hi

It is now 4pm and going dark on this cold, wet and windy Sunday.

But it has been a lovely day so far.

We stayed in bed late for us, as the wind blew on the windows and did not make getting up sound very inviting.

Mr.Po stayed on his hammock next to the radiator warming his kidneys.

Our neighbours Anne and Tony invited us round for Christmas drinks this morning at 12.15pm... on the dot!

Along with our other neighbours Sarah and Roger.

Sarah and Roger are only here every other weekend.

That's the whole of Coldtown... 3 houses Smiley

It reminded me of the old days and going up to the big house.

I was worried about the ‘small talk’ bit and the fact we are tea total but it all went smoothly thanks to Anne and Tonys very good manners.

I think they have guests and go to ‘do's’ quiet often.

Anne is on the Parish council and organises things...

Usually we pass her when she is pushing her wheel barrow up and down the drive trimming the trees back.

They are both what we would call ‘green wellie’ folk.

I was pleasantly surprised I didn't put my foot in it.

I am not known for my tact...

It was nice to have a shufty in the farm house too.

But have I done much work today... no!

Three loads of laundry and a Sunday dinner, but no ‘real’ work Smiley

Before we went I put a roast of beef in the oven and when we came back I had to rush and do the veg and pots before the beef burnt... ha ha ha!!!

Then Dave made some chocolate sausage rolls/pain au chocolat and now at 4pm I'm sat down feeling full and cosy and all Sundayish Smiley

Now, before I wander off on a tangent or forget to say, the streaming webcast will be done at 10pm GMT. on the 22nd Dec 06.

If you need to check what time that is with you, you can do so at this site...

I did wake up with a great something to write about but it has slipped my mind now.

Don't worry, I will remember it again sooner or later... ha ha ha!!!

With that I think I will leave it and have a nice cup of tea on the sofa.

I like the new Earl Grey with vanilla added.

It is the only tea I have ever liked even a bit.

I hope your day is/has been, as pleasant as mine.

Warm and cosy regards

Judith Smiley

PS... I have had a negative comment about the amount of ‘smilies’ I put in.

Well I like them and even saved the Mr Men Mr Happy pencil tops, so I'm sorry you will just have to put up with them... ha ha ha
