Reiki and Qigong
Q… There is an unborn baby who is needing surgery as soon as she is born, is it OK to give Reiki either in person or long distance through the mother?
And my answer…
A… It’s wonderful to give Reiki via the Mum and to the Mum as well 🙂
Babies love Reiki and it can only be beneficial all round… so Reiki away as much as you can!
And another question – of sorts…
Q… I was looking at and trying out Qigong, but although I had some success with it – I was, I would say, somewhat more relaxed – there was so much regimentation involved that it was/is difficult to find the time to dedicate to it.
My life isn’t neatly blocked out so I can pigeonhole activities into specific, inviolable blocks of time.
I’m looking at a couple of other “healing modalities,” I guess is the right phrase, and here again, there is such a specialized time requirement, and “levels” of learning, that I find that I am again, “straying.”
My first brush with what I see on your site is that there may be less dedicated time for your study, although, in truth, I know very, very little right now about Reiki. I haven’t looked into it much since your site suggests less regimentation, I will be looking into YOUR material.
It is difficult to make huge changes in lifestyle when you actually perceive no real need to do so.
I don’t envy Vegans. They have to be as dedicated as Atheists.
It is so much more difficult to eliminate a belief or a food source from every aspect of your life, than it is to just be skeptical and live on. And yes, when we slaughter a cow, as an example, we wipe out one consciousness and feed hundreds of people.
But to feed that same number of people with veggies, we have to slaughter virtual thousands of consciousnesses.
But we omnivores are crueller than they are. I also have a weird way of looking at the world.
Not looking forward to the ice age that appears to be heading our way. It appears they can come on in as little as 30 or 40 years, and we have been experiencing temperature decline, now, for about the last 10 years.
Since I see no reason to not be here eating a hamburger 20 years from now, there may already be glaciation in the northern US by then. Burrrr.
And my answer…
I think you need the ‘Lazy Man’s Guide to Enlightenment’… ha ha ha!!! And don’t we all!!!
When it comes to learning anything new it has to fire you up. You have to want it. Then you just soak it up like a sponge. It is not arduous, it is more fun. You can’t get enough of the subject.
I would suggest a smashing book for your reading list or next trip to the library called…
‘In Praise of Slow’ by Carl Honore.
‘The Importance of Being Idle’ by Stephen Robins.
We each find our own path and Chris and I enjoy the slow and idle approach whenever we can… ha ha ha!
We even do ‘The Power of Ten’ exercises by Adam Zickerman – which are super slow… ha ha ha!!!
Listen, you are wonderful as you are and do not need to change, simply be more of who you are and expand on that perfection 🙂
Which of course, Reiki helps you to do 🙂
